YCS (Kid’s) Guide to Spring: Bathing Beauties

By Meghan, Bad Mama Jama

It’s that time of year when you wish you were on a tropical island with an ice cold Corona (or “chilled apple juice” to keep it kid friendly around here!) , especially with the terrible weather we’ve been having. With sunny weather not too far off, I thought it would be a great idea to showcase a few of my fave bathing suits for kids.  This month, we’ll focus on suits for the little ladies in your life and next month we’ll have the best of the best for the little gentlemen you love!

Le Top makes some of the best kid’s clothing and their suits for girls are amazing.   Recently, I bought my daughter two suits from last year’s line at a 50% discount.  With or without a discount, a Le Top purchase is still worth it for girl’s bathing suits.  The quality is exceptional and they wash and wear well.

Although I do not buy much of their everyday wear, Mulberribush has great choices for the pool or beach.  This is a family-run business and they are known for their attention to detail, fit, durability, and color matching.  The best dressed girl on the beach will be wearing Mulberribush.

Now, Florence Eiseman takes me back to my childhood.  There is something so girlish yet so simple and elegant about her clothes and the same goes for her swimwear as well.  The quality of her clothing is top-notch but it doesn’t come without a cost.  Florence Eiseman has been making clothes for boys and girls since 1945 and the brand’s reputation is impeccable.  This summer, your girls will be stylish wearing anything from her line, especially her swimsuits.

The Hartstrings line of bathing suits is on my list not only for their designs, but also for their accessibility.  This local gem is very well received and I’m lucky enough to be close to their retail store as well as their outlet store in Limerick.  I have received a lot of their clothing as gifts for my kids and the quality is hard to beat.  Their summer line is no exception.

Next month I’ll feature the best trunks for the little guys in your life.  In the meantime, discover some of the featured brands that I mention above.  Remember, it’s never too early to get ready for warmer weather!
